The One Indian was founded in 2025 as part of T&Y Group, but the idea behind the restaurant began long before its opening. Through my journey of working and traveling across different destinations, I learned that food has a unique power to connect cultures, create lasting memories, and make people feel at home, even when they are far away from their own country.
When I first visited Ha Long, I was inspired not only by its natural beauty but also by its energy as an international destination. Every year, people from all over the world come here to discover the city. During that time, I realized that Ha Long was ready for an authentic Indian restaurant that could truly represent the depth, tradition, and warmth of Indian cuisine.

Our Head Chef, Sheikh Esak, has over 30 years of culinary experience gained from working in restaurants across India, Cambodia, Singapore, and Vietnam. He delivers authentic regional Indian cuisine with carefully balanced spice profiles and a strong understanding of vegetarian, non-vegetarian, ensuring every meal feels familiar and satisfying for Indian travelers.
He is supported by a South Indian Chef with 15 to 19 years of experience, who has worked in Indian restaurants in India, Malaysia, and Laos, bringing genuine South Indian flavors and traditions to the kitchen.
